Setting Goals
When it comes to setting weight loss goals it is important to be realistic. To many people wait until an important event is approaching to decide to make changes. You may have a wedding coming up or a reunion that drives you to look your best. These are important motivators but often we simply set our goals to high or limit ourselves time wise. Healthy weight loss averages about 1-2 pounds per week. This means that a 60 pound goal for May is a recipe for disaster for most of us. Certainly we all know people who have dropped significant amounts of weight rapidly but ask yourself in hindsight how many kept it off long term?
Slow and steady wins the race.
