Growing up.
Our older son is reaching the age where we have to begin talking about puberty and growing up. We have been gently trying to talk to him about the changes that will be taking place in his body over the coming months and years. It is had trying to prepare your child for facial hair, body odor, and scalp pimples when they have no concept of what all that really means. In my gut I think we can explain things until we are blue in the face but until he is actually dealing with the changes of puberty it probably won’t make any sense. I honestly don’t believe that you can make sense out of your teenage years until you are well past them and are actually living life as a grown up.
